Coworking spaces are becoming increasingly trendy. But this advantage of working close to home is now playing the role of competitor of public transport networks. Is coworking the death of the metro?
Factory Forty isn’t just any old coworking space: it’s a family affair. You’ll notice this as soon as you step through the door. It’ll be David, his brother-in-law Jasvir or Sara, his mum, who’ll welcome you. Now and again, you’ll bump into the rest of the family, including the grandchildren, who will most likely be in the garden taking care of the chickens or the vegetable patch. You’ll also hear Pitchuk, our cockerel, marking the rhythm of the days.
You’ve been warned. Factory Forty is a warm and welcoming environment. And very light: every room has windows letting the daylight stream in. Except the siesta room, of course.
It’s the ideal place for those who, like us, find sharing their time and experience with people from all different backgrounds to be stimulating. Links are created over time, as you make contact with others in the corridor, on the veranda over a coffee, in the kitchen around the large table, or in the garden when the weather allows.
At the same time, you keep your independence. Our coworking space is purposely arranged so that each member has a spacious workspace allowing them to concentrate.
The secret? Plenty of daylight, a relaxed family environment, and a therapeutic green space.
By making new contacts, the professionals who join us gain access to new business opportunities.
Beyond new contracts, our co-workers also acknowledge the benefit of meeting new people, gradually extending their circle of friends.
The best thing about Factory Forty? The garden. And the sunshine, there’s no doubt about that. It’s good for your morale as well as your concentration.
The rooms are original; no two rooms are the same. This means we can organise both small group meetings and large evening events. David and Jasvir are always available, which makes my life a lot easier.
Finally, a place with a soul!
A spacious desk, a sunny garden and a ping pong table… It doesn’t get much better!
The people are very nice, and the space is very airy and light.
The desks are big, the atmosphere is relaxed and the coffee is good.
Coworkers who work in very different fields. Great opportunities for networking.
The space, and the tranquillity! A real haven of peace in the heart of Brussels. The ideal venue for organising yoga and wellness weekends.
There’d be no Factory Forty without Pitchuk strutting around among his hens… Their chicken coop takes pride of place in a corner of the garden, between the tomato plants and the duck pond.
